Municipal Partnerships with Africa

 

From 24 to 26 October 2013, the "Service Agency Communities In One World" of Engagement Global gGmbH, in cooperation with the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, hosted the Second Conference “Municipal Partnerships with Africa”.

Eine Welt - Eine Zukunft 2012/13/14

 

This event series is aimed in particular at young people interested in hearing about current issues in development cooperation and discussing them – sometimes controversially – with experts. The series is a collaborative event realized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Engagement Global gGmbH and the KfW Development Bank.

Metabolism meets Virulence

 

The Second International Symposium on Metabolism and Bacterial Pathogenesis will take place from 6 to 9 April 2014 in Osnabrueck. Hosted by Osnabrueck University.

Anniversary train Bosch lectureship programme 2013

 

200 former lectures celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the lectureship programme one of the Robert Bosch Stiftung's oldest language programme from 19 to 21 September 2013. The participants travelled for two days in a historical train from Kreisau in Poland to Berlin and then continued to Stuttgart.

The Global Development Agenda After 2015: Challenges and Opportunities for German Corporations

 

This dialogue forum took place on 28 August 2013 in Café Moskau in Berlin. During a daylong conference with a plenary discussion and workshops, 100 corporate representatives discussed the global development agenda after 2015 with government representatives. On behalf of the BMZ the event was organized by the GIZ.

Presentation of the results of the report from the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel of Eminent Persons regarding the post-2015 development agenda by Prof Dr Horst Köhler

 

Prof. Dr. Horst Köhler’s presentation on 14 June 2013 took place at the Gasometer Schöneberg in Berlin. High-ranking delegates, a large contingency of ambassadors, experts and development policy industry professionals were amongst those in attendance. On behalf of the BMZ the event was organized by the GIZ.
