Julia Ackermann

Julia Ackermann

coordinated the preparation, execution and evaluation of a number of international conferences, virtual meetings, and symposia. As a political scientist, she also provides contextual input on the conceptualization of events. She is responsible for managing external service providers, assisting national and international stakeholders from policy, civil society, industry, and academia, and ensuring efficient team coordination before and during events. Julia Ackermann is the quality manager at greenstorming GmbH.

Nikolaus Bender

Nikolaus Bender

has been working as a Project Assistant for greenstorming GmbH since March 2017. He completed a German diploma in Economics with a focus on social sciences at the University of Potsdam, and a Masters Degree in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the United States. Before joining greenstorming, he assisted the press and public relations efforts of the development policy lobbying and campaigning organization ONE. He brings with him years of experience in the preparation, organization, and execution of events and workshops.

Phillip Handy

joined greenstorming in October 2017. In his work as project assistant, he draws on extensive intercultural experience as well as in-depth knowledge in dealing with governmental and civil society organisations. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations and subsequently gained a master’s degree in European Studies from the Freie Universität Berlin. He worked at the European Academy Berlin and the Institute for European Politics (IEP) in Berlin before completing the Blue Book Traineeship scheme of the European Commission. Before joining greenstorming, he worked with a Cambridge-based start-up specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He is currently responsible for coordinating greenstorming’s security and hygiene measures in the context of Covid-19.

 

Bente Hansen

Bente Hansen

has been a part of the greenstorming team since October 2012. Since then, she has contributed to the organization of various events in the political and civic sectors. She is responsible for event and participant management, and is also in charge of event execution and the coordination of external service providers throughout the entire length of the project. As a political scientist she worked on a number of international projects, both nationally and abroad, before joining greenstorming. Bente Hansen is a project manager and data protection officer at greenstorming GmbH.

Thomas Kluchert

has been part of the greenstorming GmbH team since August 2018. After completing his Masters studies in political science and history, he supported, among other things, the strategic and operational supervision of Deutsche Bahn's environmental division, and worked at a communications agency planning, organizing, and executing conferences, press events, workshops, and campaigns for several years. Thomas Kluchert is project manager and contact person for all questions regarding event security at greenstorming GmbH.

Charles de Pury

completed his musical education studies with a focus on composition at the Conservatoire de Musique in Geneva. He combined his passion for music with his love of planning and executing events during his years spent organizing and supporting international cultural events and concerts and managing an internationally active choir. After supporting greenstorming with a number of events as a freelance assistant since 2015, Charles du Pury  has been employed at greenstorming GmbH as a full-time Project Assistant since September 2018.

Petra Rosenzweig

has supported greenstorming at numerous events since 2016 and has been working as a project assistant in our team since 2020. Alongside her studies in nutrition sciences, she was able to gain a variety of experience working at trade fairs, congresses and many other events. She supported not only the implementation, but also the overall preparation and follow-up. Sustainability is an important topic for Petra: Since 2012, she has been actively working to prevent food waste in Berlin with the organization Foodsharing e.V. and has been a participant of the Slow Food Youth Academy since 2020.

 

 

Alin Roessler

Alin Rößler

has been with greenstorming since April 2018. As a Project Assistant, she supports the team with all event formats from preparation to execution to follow-up. Before starting at greenstorming, she studied sustainable tourism management (M.A.) at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development. She then gained professional experience in the inbound tourism sector and with tourism associations. Among other roles, Alin Rößler supported the Deutscher Tourismusverband (German Tourism Association) with the organization of seminars and coordinated association-related events for Reisenetz, the German professional association for youth travel in Berlin. At greenstorming, she is responsible for the focus on barrier-free event planning.

Christopher Schumann

Christopher Schumann

can point to years of experience in the preparation and execution of seminars, congresses and international events, both in academic settings as well as for ministries, international organizations and other political institutions. His expert and methodical advice is based on his education as an economist and the knowledge he garnered while working for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Christopher Schumann is one of the CEOs of greenstorming.

Cornelia Wiemeyer

joined greenstorming GmbH in August 2019. After finishing her M.A. in History and North American Studies she worked in the academic field and participated in the conceptualization  and execution of international conferences and conventions. She worked as „German Communications Coordinator“ for the WendeMuseum, Los Angeles for many years. After that she worked as “Editorial Associate” for an Israeli Startup. Julia Werner is a Project Manager at greenstorming GmbH.

As the representative responsible for all anti-discrimination and gender equality issues, Julia Werner is trying to bring topics into the team to broaden everyone’s perspective and keep it up to speed with social developments, ranging from the power of language to the multitude of biographies and experiences to the understanding of different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Cornelia Wiemeyer

Cornelia Wiemeyer

brings her organizational talent as well as sound expert knowledge to the table assuring that conceptualization and execution go hand-in-hand. She has years of experience in the preparation, organization and execution of small workshops, event programs and high-profile political dialogues. Cornelia also has extensive experience in the execution of virtual and hybrid events. Cornelia Wiemeyer is one of the CEOs of greenstorming.
